Growing closer to god
We have said we want a relationship with God; we call Him Lord and Savior, yet how much do we actually know about Him? His word says to Love Him, Heart, Soul, Mind and Strength, to Love our neighbor as ourselves.
This journey of life in Christ is long, not merely a phrase, a statement of faith nor a sprint that is over quickly.
We need to be able to endure the temptations and the trials of this life. If we are only going to Church, doing the basics without growing closer to Christ, we will have great difficulty in this life!
